Recetable works without an account. If you don't create one, your work never leaves your phone: your recipes, ingredients and orders live only on your device.
There are two exceptions, and neither carries your work inside it.
Crash reports: if the app breaks, we receive a technical report so we can fix it — the error, where in the code it happened, and the state of your device at that moment.
And a few usage events: that you created a business, that you added an ingredient, that you created a recipe, that you opened the plans screen. They are marks that something happened, without the content: not the recipe's name, not the ingredient's, not the amounts, nothing you typed. They serve one purpose — to understand which step of the app gets hard, so we can fix that step.
If you create an account, your data is copied to our servers so it can sync across your devices. Nothing else.
We don't sell your data. There are no ads, and no advertising or analytics trackers. We do not collect your advertising ID.
Without an account: crash reports and usage events. Nothing else.
Both are tied to a random installation identifier — not to you, your email, or your advertising ID, which we do not collect. And neither includes recipes, orders or client data: not their names, not their amounts, not anything you typed.
With an account:
We never request or receive your location, contacts, camera, microphone or the files on your phone. The app declares seven permissions and none of them is sensitive: internet access and connection state, to talk to our server; the Google Play billing permission, for subscriptions; and four that Android's background-work library needs in order to run the sync — keeping the phone awake, rescheduling itself after a restart, a foreground service, and one private to the app.
